Strictly Serious
By Jonah Mungoshi. Most people wish to achieve success but lack the seriousness required to fulfill their potential.
Most people wish to achieve success in one form or the other, depending on their definition of success. Most people have this feeling that whatever they have achieved does not represent the total potential that they have. Most people feel that given their talent, their skill, their knowledge, they have not achieved what they are capable of achieving. Do you identify with this? Is this you I'm talking about? If it is, then stay tuned, because I've got just the right medicine for you to ensure that you move from where you are, to where you want to be. But you need to be serious.
Hello, welcome to the half hour with Jonah Mungoshi. And today's session is unique, if different, it is strictly for the serious. The reason why most people don't achieve their desired results. The reason why most people don't even get close to fulfilling their full potential. The reason why most people have wishes that never become reality, and just remain dreams is because they lack seriousness. And you probably fall into this category. Because most people do fall into that category.
They lack seriousness, what do we mean by seriousness? They have got a wish, a vague wish. But this wish is not a burning desire. Let me give you a simple test. In fact, a few criteria that you can use to measure your level of seriousness. Number one, how clear Is your goal to you? How clear is your goal? If I was to ask you, what exactly do you want to achieve? Can you tell me in three four short sentences without stammering or stuttering and putting in fillers a clearly what it is that you want to achieve?
Most people don't have that clarity? Do you have that goal written down? There is power in writing down your intention. Because when you communicate that intention, in a way you are making a commitment, just like you know, if you go into a business arrangement with somebody, and there's no contract, you know, you're headed for trouble. If you can't even get to the point of writing down your vision, your goal, your desire, then you are not serious. But most people think are why bother? These are such small steps tell you what, if you cannot fulfill the small steps, forget about taking the big steps.
So that's just one clarity of your goal of your vision of your desire and having it written down. Well, I'll cover more later. But let's move on to the next point. What amount of time are you dedicating to your goal? The amount of time that you put into something demonstrates your seriousness? What amount of effort are you putting towards achieving your goal? The amount of effort you put demonstrates a seriousness, what amount of creativity doing things differently, being innovative, trying out things, trial and error? Are you putting into your goal that clearly demonstrates your level of seriousness or lack thereof? What actions are you taking, and the actions you are taking that are moving you out of your comfort zone, doing something you've never done before or not?
Important Concepts
- The amount of effort put demonstrates the level of seriousness
- There is power in writing down intention, key to commitment
- Current results, what has been achieved should be used as a guide to know where you are going.
Once again, that is a demonstration of your seriousness or the lack thereof. So if you're one of those people who are serious, but what you're looking for is a means a way a formula, then stick around, and we'll definitely help you even one of those people who as a result of this reflection, you feel, hey, I haven't been serious enough with my goal. And I want to change I want to be serious, then stick around because this is going to help you. Let me start off with just three steps that I've tried, tested and proven and bear in mind.
What I'm sharing with you is not only informed by what I've learned, read and learned from attending courses, and workshops. It's also informed by what I've tried, tested and is proven to be effective. Number one, you need to be clear on your desired results. I've already covered this, you must articulate you must see clearly clear two thirds and what you want to achieve. And you must have it written down and you must have it committed to memory. Do you have that question?. Number two, you need to look at your current results. What results are you achieving? If your success is financial, and you're saying I want to reach a certain level of financial success, I want to get generate 20,000 bond sales every month. Look at yourself and say where am i right now?
Are you at 2000 5000 10,000 Most people don't even know they suffer from a syndrome of vagueness. They are not sure about how they're doing now. Now that is disastrous because if you don't know where you are now, you don't know your starting point. And chances are forget about knowing where you want to get to. So you need to measure where you are now know where you are. So those are the first two of 10 steps that I'd like to share with you if you want to hear the rest of these Steps stick around and I'll see you on the other side but this is strictly for those who are serious
