Starting from Zero
By Jonah Mungoshi. Look at yourself with an appreciative perspective. Appreciate where you are now.
How do you make something out of nothing? How do you get started? You have zero capital, you have no money, you have very little knowledge or skill. You don't have rich relatives to give you money. You don't have political connections. I will never man being gobbled up. How do you get started? That's what we're talking about today.
Welcome to the half hour with Jonah Mungoshi. And today our topic is starting from zero. I'm sure a lot of you listening can identify with these guitars open your ears, you know, you realize you actually don't have much, and there's so much you want to do. But pig tank you don't shy away, can I start when I've absolutely nothing will tell you what, there are two major problems and you may be suffering from one of these.
The two major problems associated with starting from nothing is number one, because terrorists are a passive passive. Number two, because there is a mundane Ganga. You see, those two extremes are a problem. When you look at yourself as a very lowly humble person who is absolutely nothing. The risk that you face, or the danger that you face is that you do not value what you already have.
You look at yourself with a depreciating frame of mind, how to realize the pabu power and how to shoot a puppet there is something you have got. So Mark my words, there is nothing like starting from zero. When you say you're starting from zero, you are failing to realize that you are not a zero, you already have something that you can build on. You already have some knowledge that you have some skill that you have. You already have cargo quani circa Winnebago. So if you want to get rid of this problem, because Teddy's passing, you need to look at what is it that I have that is of value?
What is the work that I can already do? A lot of us can do something you might not like what you're doing, but even if you're sweeping, that is something you're doing, what knowledge do I have, maybe I only managed to pass three or levels with a D or Okay, a D is a fail, but it's better than an F right? But that's something and I'm saying, look at yourself with an appreciative perspective. Retiree say realistically, never windows, try, by all means to say what is it that I have that can provide value no matter how little that's the first problem we face. And the solution to that lies in your mind. You have to change your frame of thinking. Because guess what it removes the Pi Zero donation denature you fail to take advantage of what you already have.
Important Concepts
- Look at yourself with an appreciative perspective. Appreciate where you are now
- Change your frame of thinking. Because guess what? A "I have zero mindset" disallows you from taking advantage of what you have
- Get real, and looking at yourself realistically means being humble
And what you value lightly, you will lose easily. So what do you already have? What are you capable of doing right now? What skills do you already possess? What work? Have you already done? The couple that throw Mamanuca Thank you. So anything that you are capable of doing right now is an asset, you are not starting from zero, you are starting from that point. So stop, because it's a passive person, stop looking down upon yourself. You're not starting from zero, it might be from 0.0001. But it's still not zero. Okay. Second problem we have when starting from zero is because telesummit Dinga Dinga where your ego forces you or makes you look at yourself as if you are way above where you are.
What do I mean by this? A lot of us will come up with big grandiose ideas. Yeah, you know, what I'm going to do is that I will, you know, set up an operation that will be generating 10,000 US dollars a month. And I'm like if you ever generated $5,000 a month? No, it never generated $1,000 A month no, if ever generated $500 A month no. So what the heck makes you think you're gonna manage $10,000 Very confident is not confidence. That is not confidence. That is self deception. So you need to get real, and looking at yourself realistically means being humble. Equal to zero, when you have nothing to show there's no evidence or Panama v 11. And they'll tell you start humble.
Eat humble pie. Start where you can, right. So if you cannot fly at this moment, then run. If you cannot run, then walk if you cannot walk, then crawl, for goodness sake do something. So starting humble means starting where you are with what you have. A lot of us don't like this. Because when you start in humble you are starting on a shoestring budget with very little money. Doing things that you're probably not proud of. Your ego doesn't like it but guess what, you cannot eat your ego, right? You can go on puffing your chest and say I'm such and such and so on.
So, but as long as the results on the ground don't show that you are nowhere near that. So those are the two major problems that people face. Which one of those are you facing, if not facing those well and good, but if you'd like to know more about getting started, then stay online, stick around and we will unpack these on the other side.
